This project transformed a 2,800 sq. ft. unfinished basement into a luxurious and functional living space, complete with a beautiful, high-end gym. The initial concept of a simple 50/50 split between the gym and living area evolved into the sophisticated design showcased in the photo gallery below (check out the before and after photos), featuring a variety of specialized spaces.

The finished basement now includes a dedicated gym with a sauna and cold plunge room, separated from the main living area by a striking, 18-foot wide full glass partition wall—a dramatic focal point.

The living area is designed for entertainment, featuring a projector screen for movie nights. A custom bar area equipped with a sink, dishwasher, wine fridge, and beverage fridge provides the perfect space for entertaining. A dedicated game area adjacent to the bar offers additional recreational space.

Practicality was also a key consideration. A well-appointed mudroom/ “drop zone” caters to the family’s dogs, while ample storage solutions are integrated throughout the basement. A full bathroom with a custom walk-in shower adds convenience and enhances the overall functionality of the space.

From energizing workouts and vibrant social gatherings to peaceful moments of relaxation, this basement remodel provides it all.
