The Homestead Estate

Coastal Retreat Renovation

This whole-home renovation transformed the clients’ residence into a light-filled coastal retreat, balancing timeless materials with relaxed seaside influences. Spanning four full bathrooms, bedrooms, stairway, and a custom-built fireplace in the living room, each space was thoughtfully designed to feel fresh, functional, and connected through a cohesive palette of soft neutrals, natural textures, and carefully curated details.

Ground-Level Guest Bathroom

Designed primarily for guests and the homeowner, the ground-level guest bath embraces rich wood tones and deep blue accents while maintaining an open, airy atmosphere. Neutral porcelain flooring and coastal-inspired paint colors create a bright foundation, allowing the layered materials and warm finishes to add depth and character without overwhelming the space.

Guest Suite Bathroom

The guest bathroom offers a sophisticated take on coastal living. A light marble mosaic floor pairs beautifully with soft beige-toned shower tile, while a natural white oak vanity introduces warmth and texture. A subtly textured light blue wallpaper adds a touch of color, creating a welcoming retreat that feels both elegant and relaxed.

Primary Bathroom

The primary bathroom was reimagined as a serene spa-like escape. A custom built-up quartz vanity countertop with a decorative edge detail serves as a focal point, complemented by a shower framed in marble-inspired quartz. Dolomite-look porcelain tile delivers the beauty of natural stone with the durability and ease of maintenance desired for everyday living. A floating bench adds both function and visual lightness, while polished nickel fixtures provide a timeless finishing touch.

Girls’ Bathroom

Playful details and classic materials come together in the girls’ bathroom. Penny tile flooring extends seamlessly up the tub surround, creating a unique built-in appearance and adding visual interest. Brass fixtures introduce warmth and personality, while classic subway tile is installed in a custom pattern to create feature walls at both the tub and vanity. A warm light-gray vanity beautifully complements the varied blue-gray tones of the tile, resulting in a space that feels youthful yet timeless.

Girls’ Bedroom

The girls’ bedroom was transformed into a whimsical retreat through the addition of new lighting, window treatments, wallpaper, and furnishings. A soft pink wall covering creates a bold yet inviting backdrop, while layered textures, creamy neutral tones, and thoughtfully selected textiles add warmth and comfort. The result is a charming space designed to grow with its occupants while maintaining a sense of playful sophistication.

Throughout the home, the design balances coastal influences with timeless finishes, creating spaces that feel fresh, welcoming, and effortlessly livable for years to come.
